Raised Height Toilets
A toilet is a toilet, right? Aside from aesthetics, many people might not realise there’s a lot of variation in toilet design. But if you have mobility issues, are taller or have issues with your joints, you’ll know the difference between standard, or chair, toilets and comfort height toilets.
Traditionally, toilets are 15 inches high to the seat, but comfort height toilets, sometimes called “raised height toilets”, are between 17 and 19 inches high. You may well have encountered a comfort height toilet in an accessible WC, and you might have been surprised at how easy it is to get on a seat that is that bit higher. You may have noticed that your knees didn’t splay out as far, and that getting up was much easier, too. You might have even thought about how handy this kind of toilet would be when you or your family members start ageing.
For these reasons and more, a lot of our customers are choosing to install comfort height toilets in their own homes. Our range of comfort height toilets blend seamlessly into any bathroom design, perfect for people that want their mobility aids to be discreet and stylish. They cost about as much (sometimes a little less) than our chair height toilets, so they suit any budget as well.
Rimless Toilet Pans – Many of our toilets are ‘rimless’ which means the pan has no rim around the front, making it far easier to clean, along with a fantastic flush! Our toilets have options of soft close toilet seats with many removable for cleaning.
